Quartz Countertops

You’ve probably seen and heard of quartz countertops. We’ve dedicated this site to explaining all there is to know about quartz countertops, so that you can make the right decision for your home. Quartz countertops are one of the latest options for countertops, competing against granite countertops, wood countertops, stainless steel countertops and laminate countertops.

I recently installed a quartz countertop in my own home, with alot of help from a friend who’s a carpenter. I’m not a handyman, but I can tell you that the final result is just amazing! In my kitchen I wanted a light, sandy/rock like pattern and I quickly found one that suited well. Before installing the quazrt countertop I did alot of research on them, to make certain that it was just what I wanted and needed.

Since we’ve recently done this, we will explain the differences between quartz countertops and other material countertops. We will discuss the pros and cons with choosing a quartz countertop for your kitchen, bathroom or wherever you want to use a quartz countertop.

Although this site focus on quartz countertops, you will find extensive information about many different material countertops. We really appreciate quartz, but it might be better suited with a different material, to cover your specific needs. Also some materials do look better together and depending on what other materials you already have in place around the area where you intend to use a quartz countertop, some other material might actually be a better choice.

There’s no doubt that a new countertop can transform your whole kitchen from old and worn, to new and fresh. There’s usually no need to rip the whole kitchen out in order to renew and improve. New countertops and especially quartz countertops can take alot more of a beating than old ones. Quartz countertops are scratch-free, keeping your kitchen looking brand new for longer.

Since most quartz countertops of today are engineered, almost any color can be attained, making quartz countertops extremely versatile when it comes to fitting in with other materials and designs. Something you as the user is guaranteed to appreciate. The combination of around 95% crushed quartz and 5% polymer, keeps the countertops strong, but much cheaper and manageable than if it would be 100% all natural quartz.
